What to Bring
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP and CAMP SCHEDULE
- Water Bottle
- Fan
- Alarm Clock
- T-shirts (NO tank tops or spaghetti straps for camp sessions. No cut-off shirt sleeves!!!)
- Shorts and/or volleyball spandex
- Kneepads
- Volleyball shoes - should already be broken in - new shoes cause blisters at camp!
- Flip Flops or other comfortable shoes to wear between camp sessions, to lunch, etc.
- Socks & Underwear
- Name banner (We require all campers to wear their last name the back of their shirt). Most campers print their name with a permanent marker on a white strip of cotton fabric and safety pin it to the back of their shirt for each camp session). The height of the letters should be 2" - 4".
- Personal items: soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.
- Compact umbrella and/or other rain gear
- Small backpack or duffle bag for transporting water bottle and volleyball gear from dorm to gym
- The campus provides sheets, blanket, pillow, pillowcase, towel, and washcloth. You may also choose to bring your own.
- Healthy beverages and small cooler, if desired for the dorm such as juice, gatorade, water, etc. Ice will be provided at the food service for small coolers.
- Spending money, if desired, for pizza, beverages, or camp T-shirts
- Healthy Snacks for the evening: fruit, juice, crackers, granola bars, etc.
Here is a typical daily schedule:
7:45 Breakfast
9:00 - 12:00 Training of individual skills
12:00 - 1:30 Lunch and Rest
1:30 - 4:30 Skills Training and camp team practices
4:30 - 6:30 Dinner and Rest
6:30 - 9:00 Evening Session
10:30 p.m. Lights out
Camp check-out will be approximately 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. on the last day of camp.
Each camp concludes with a camp tournament which begins at 1:00.Parents are invited to come and watch. You may want to bring a portable chair, as seating is limited in the gym.
